Jordanian prince: Christian presence in Middle East must be protected

prince and pope

Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan said that the Christian presence in the Middle East must be protected, during a September 30 conference launching a new book on the history of Arab Christianity.

The Jordanian prince, who has sponsored various projects of inter-religious dialogue, said that it is absurd to suggest that Christianity is a “Western import,” since the faith arose in the Middle East, and helped to form the culture of the Arabic world. He said that Christians need “human protection” to ensure their survival in the region  today.

Yes, this is so true what the prince said, it all started with a baby that was born in Bethlehem, in Israel.  So, we should all work together to preserve the place where our Savior was born, right, Prince Hassan bin Talal?  Christianity was adopted in the West and grafted into us.  We should all work together to preserve that faith.  That same faith that gives us hope!
